What would be the natural progression from a B.A. degree in German from UCLA and then nine years as a restaurant manager - most notably at Don the Beachcomber in Malibu, CA? Of course - real estate broker in Springville? Well, why not!I graduated from high school in Sacramento, CA, attended Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, worked and traveled in Europe for 14 months, and, after graduating from college, settled back in the Sacramento area. But, bigger things called. I met my husband in Malibu, where he worked at Hughes Research Lab. Don was ready to retire and wanted to live in a rural area where he could begin developing real estate. Springville fit the bill and in 1982, we purchased property on the beautiful Tule River.
Since 1986, C F Smith Realty has been helping people fulfill their dreams of living and playing in a peaceful and energizing environment. I retired from a satisfying career as Tule River/Hot Springs District Ranger of the Sequoia National Forest with over 29 years experience as administrator of the National Forest lands adjacent to Springville. My background includes graduation in 1962 from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forest Management, a license as a California Professional Forester, membership in River Island Country Club, being past president of the Springville Chamber of Commerce, 2005 chairmanship of the Southern San Joaquin Chapter of the Society of American Foresters, and being past president and a 25 year member of the Porterville Breakfast Lions.
